Project Details:

  • To equip beneficiary countries with gender-sensitive capacity and knowledge on sustainable conservation of biological diversity and sustainable forest management by increasing regional cooperation and creating a regional network. ​

Project Objectives:

  • Participating countries are equipped with the necessary capacity and knowledge to meet the needs of socially inclusive and marginalized groups on biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management through regional cooperation and established regional network . ​

Project Goals:

  • Addressing the requirements to ensure an integrated approach in management plans​

  • Capacity building​

  • Making/revising management plans in pilot areas​

  • Information management and sharing​

Project Components:

  • The capacity of project staff and national counterparts in community-based management has been enhanced. ​

  • The technical capacity of countries on biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management has been increased.​

  • Updated landscape-level sustainable biodiversity conservation management plans.​

  • Developed multi-functional model forest management plans.​

  • Awareness raising activities were carried out on the protection of biodiversity and sustainable forest management.
